THE BRIEF : CEBUANA LHUILLIER REMITTANCE WANTED TO BE THE PREFERRED MONEY REMITTANCE SERVICE AMONGST FILIPINO WORKERS WHO WERE SENDING MONEY BACK HOME TO THEIR LOVED ONES.
THE SOLUTION : MONEY TRANSFERS AS RELIABLE AS DELIVERING IT YOURSELF. WE DEMONSTRATED THIS BY ORCHESTRATING A STUNT OUR CUSTOMERS WEREN’T LIKELY TO FORGET. WE LOOKED THROUGH OUR DATABASE, FOUND CUSTOMERS WHO WERE REGULARLY REMITTING TO THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS, THEN SECRETLY CONTACTED THEM AND FLEW THEM HOME. INSIDE THE STORE, WE CONSTRUCTED FALSE WALLS AND PILLARS TO HIDE SIX CAMERAMAN. ONCE THE FAMILY MEMBERS ENTERED TO COLLECT THEIR MONEY, WE VIDEOTAPED EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENED. WE EDITED THE ACTUAL FOOTAGE FROM THE BEST “RE-MEETS” TO CREATE A SERIES OF TV COMMERCIALS AND FILMS ON YOUTUBE. LATER ON, WE RELEASED HEARTWARMING BEHIND-THE-SCENES INTERVIEWS WITH THE FAMILIES.
THE RESULTS : A SIZEABLE 18% INCREASE IN REMITTANCES TWO MONTHS AFTER THE CAMPAIGN. CEBUANA LHUILLIER BECAME THE MOST TALKED-ABOUT REMITTANCE SERVICE IN SOCIAL NETWORKING SITES FOR WEEKS.
