Outcome
The “making of” film that was emailed to 750 of our business contacts, was not only seen by our clients but also spread throughout the industry. And received lots of positive feedback. More importantly our condensed office now provides a focal point for our new office – a perfect icebreaker to help tell our story to new clients. And a beautiful reminder to us of our past.

Client Brief Or Objective
Ubachs Wisbrun/JWT is a well-established Dutch agency. In May 2012, it was moving into a new office and changing its name to JWT Amsterdam. We wanted to let our clients know.

Brief Explanation
We wanted to tell a sympathetic story in an interesting way.Usually companies forget all about their past and just concentrate on their new future. But our past is what makes us. All that experience and learning brings us to where we are today. As well as remembering this, we also wanted to assure our clients that the new JWT Amsterdam would still retain a part of the old Ubachs Wisbrun/JWT.

Implementation
So we decided to take a piece of our past with us by condensing our old office into a small cube and placing it at the heart of our new one. We started by asking everyone to give us something they wanted to take with them. Showreels, sketches, marker pens, even our old mascot. They all went in and were crushed into a small cube. We surrounded the cube in perspex and placed it on a pedestal in the center of the new JWT Amsterdam office. A symbol and a story starter of where we came from.
