Synopsis:
Publicis WW México presents “The Freelancer”, the campaign for Heineken during the Champions League
In Europa, the Champions League is played at night time and fans enjoyed it after work and with friends at pubs. In México, it’s not the same way. Due to time difference, the matches are played during work time. Heineken wanted to make Mexican fans feel the same passion for the Champions League as the europeans, even if it happens while they are working. So, if work stands between you and the competition, ¿why not to get a job in the Champions League?
The agency rule by Juan Carlos Tapia presents “The Freelancer”, a campaign developed by Jessica Apellániz and Diego Wallach, Creative Vice Presidents, and created especially for Heineken during a Champions League semifinal game.
Four incredible jobs at a Champions League match: the Referee Card Color Inspector, the Football Microorganism Remover, the Bib Usability Deputy and the Anthem Button Player.
Participation started on April 10th 2017 at https://www.thefreelancer.com.... ; “We created a microsite where four games would test the candidate’s skills for each job, so we can find the best ones. After 72 recruiting hours and 67.000 postulations, we choose 200 finalists. Once an interview process, we found the four better freelancers for each one of the jobs.”, Jessica Apellaniz and Diego Wallach commented.
The winners left their real jobs for a week and they travelled to a Champions League semi-final match, where they worked for hours and even minutes before the game started; then, they enjoyed the game as a true fan.
