The canvas you're admiring, number 158, is entitled 'Storm In The Northern Seas'. And it does indeed depict a green lizard.
This work belongs to the artist's Cold Period, when he lost the use of his hands because of frostbite.
The canvas survived a tremendous fire in 1978, ironically set with the purpose of burning it. The legend that the painting brings bad luck hasn't been found to be true...

La tela che state ammirando, la numero 158, si intitola 'Tempesta Nel Mare Del Nord'. Infatti mostra un ramarro.
Appartiene al Periodo Freddo del suo autore, quando perse l’uso delle mani per un congelamento.
Il dipinto scampò a un pauroso incendio nel 1977, paradossalmente appiccato proprio per dargli fuoco. La leggenda che l’opera porti sventure e maleficio non trova conferma.

Brief Explanation
Brief: Many Italians are more inclined to visit museums when they are abroad. But when these same people are in Italy, they rarely visit the museums in their own or other Italian cities.
The aim of the communication is to encourage these Italians to rediscover their own country's artistic heritage.
