The business critical objective for the Danepak brand was to significantly increase supermarket distribution. Throughout 2015 discussions had taken place with all major supermarkets without landing product on shelves. With TV scheduled for mid-2016 The Serious Bacon Club was the only marketing channel available to persuade stores to re-list product. We needed to shake up and reinvigorate the category, giving consumers and the all important supermarket meat buyers something they hadn’t seen before.
