“Turn Down for What” rapper Lil Jon is working with STōK Cold Brew to teach people how to be a hype man (or woman). Hype people, for the uncool people like me, is the backup rapper who shouts things like “yeah!” “werk!” and “let’s go!”
The campaign includes an interactive experience where you can create your own hype track at http://www.stokyourself.com. Lil Jon even provides “Turn Up” tutorial videos for how to do that towel wave thing and, my favorite, his jumping up and down and shouting technique. There’s also an Alexa Skill. Just ask: “Alexa, Ask SToK Cold Brew To Hype Me Up.”
