To announce this new service, Swiss Post carried out a live campaign over the weekend of 5 and 6 September. This saw 30 modified parcels roaming the crowded streets of Lucerne, looking for their intended recipients: controlled by 30 professional radio-controlled-car drivers, the parcels weaved among the feet of surprised passers-by. A wide range of carefully chosen gifts meant that certain lucky people received a real surprise the parcels stopped right in front of their recipient, before opening automatically and, for example, revealing flowers for couples and even a juicy bone for one lucky dog! The recipients’ unrehearsed reactions were captured live on film.
