The Macallan launched a new product, Rare Cask. This is the most complex whisky in The Macallan’s history. Its secret lies in wood. We asked ourselves: instead of drinking it…Could we eat it? Is it possible to eat wood and create an unforgettable experience around that innovation? We asked the Roca brothers, chefs at El Celler de Can Roca, a 3-Star Michelin restaurant named World's Best Restaurant twice, and they created pieces of wood with the flavours of each note of the whisky. We launched an international event called Into The Rare; is visceral, awe-inspiring journey that takes you on an experiential voyage to taste the exquisite mastery that lies at the heart of Rare Cask.
