News headlines rarely focus on the innocent children living in Syria. The horrors they see live on in the pictures they draw. To change their outlook on life, we asked people to turn the horrible drawings into happy ones. With a digital tool called the Pencil of Hope, people could redraw the pictures and share them on social media to raise awareness. The new drawings were sent to internally displaced people’s camps in Syria on blankets.
