Outcome
The praises to the choice of copper as the signage material were one of the aspects that best illustrated the project success. Medical doctors praised the return to that element used in the early days of medicine. Through that, the brand, already perceived as modern, received added-value while resorting to the roots of the profession for inspiration to its signage.

Brief Explanation
The goal was that the signage plates were sophisticated and unique. At the same time, we should create a signage system made of subtle pieces that would create minimum visual interference in the ambience, without excessiveness, but with a unique personality.

Client Brief Or Objective
The studio had previously performed a brand identity project for Alta, a laboratory of high-quality diagnostic exams, geared to a demanding audience. We were then invited to develop the visual communication to the units.

Implementation
To convey sophistication, we chose copper to support messages. In addition to visually contributing to the ambience-setting, the choice of that metal was due to its ancient connection to medicine, given its antibacterial properties. With the subtle detail in the sheet fold, inspired by Amilcar de Castro’s work, and the duality of the matt and shiny finishes, we created a convergence of elegance and technology, while enhancing each plate’s artistic and unique value. For restricted access areas, we created a simpler standard, with turquoise aluminum, but also with the detail of the fold.
