Brief Explanation:
Our key objective was to present the artists in a very natural way. Just how they are: beautiful and passionate for dancing. Also we tried to make people curious for the special art of the I Dance company in order to cross borders and create awareness for people with “Trisomy 21”.

Describe the brief from the client:
On the occasion of the World-Down-Syndrome-Day on 21st March our client I Dance company asked for a campaign to promote their dance performances. Those were taking place over a period of three weeks under the name “Down-Syndrome Festival”.

Design Process:
Creating a campaign for the I Dance company, for us it seemed simply natural to capture the spirit that the Austrian author Peter Turrini describes as “simply dancing away” in the prologue of the festival’s program booklet. This is exactly what we wanted to show in our photographies.
Additionally to those outstanding pictures, we created a tripartite graphic concept that reflects the genetic peculiarity “Trisomy 21”.

Results:
In the end over 4,000 people attended 12 completely sold-out nights full of dance at the grand Viennese theatres “Burgtheater” and “Theater in der Josefstadt”.
Since the requests did not end, the I Dance company gave additional performances after the end of the Down-Syndrome Festival.
