Describe the challenges and key objectives
After creating naming and branding for a dream new pet shop, 'The Fabulous World of Pets' (The investors are biologists – then they've loved animals since childhood) they wanted an absolute new paper bag. They wanted a fantastic bag which takes the spirit of the store to the customers’ home.
Describe the brief from the client
In Brazil we have a curious phenomenon – pet shops are non creative stores. They’re boring and all look pretty much the same. The names, the brands, the accessories and stores themselves are ordinary. There’s neither much personality nor branding thought underneath these businesses.
Describe how you arrived at the final design
We created not only a new paper bag but a whole new possibility of communication – we created very cheap handles cut out of a kind of recycled rubber which can have any theme we want for any kind of business.
Give some indication of how successful the outcome was in the market
For the pet shop, the handles became the object of desire for dogs and cats. The bag which turns into fun for kids and fascinates adults, transforming 'The Fabulous World of Pets' into an even dearer one.
