Describe the brief from the client
Wüsthof stood for 'We like it sharp' amongst food lovers and gourmet chefs. We needed to connect with chefs and remind them of Wüsthof's precise sharpness.
Describe the challenges and key objectives
We had a very low budget but we needed to connect with our core audience in an elegant way. We needed to inspire them and connect with them on an aesthetic level.
Describe how you arrived at the final design
We wanted to showcase precise sharpness of Wüsthof knives. So we decide to slice the posters as if they were sliced bu Wüsthof knives. We hung the posters in gourmet cafes where great chefs dine.
Give some indication of how successful the outcome was in the market
The unorthodox usage of the format inspired and ignited the conversation amongst chefs -our core audience. The sliced posters were referenced in social media and shared on gourmet blogs.
