Script In English:
Odd isn’t it? For a man to run when technicallyhe shouldn’t even be walking. To compete in a marathon on one legwhen really he should be sitting at home and watching it. To have a head that thumpslouder than the heart. To survive death in a warAnd still have a war to fight. So odd to have shrapnel cutting through the bodyAnd a blade cushioning the thrust. To bare his painwhile his wounds are covered in bandages Yet keep going. To risk the otherto make up for the one that’s already gone. To do with one. What seems impossible even with two. To run against all odds.To prove that nothing is odd. Odd isn't it? To run on even grounds, uneven roadsOn even hurdles, uneven stakesOn even starting lines, uneven goalsOn even steps, uneven feet And to do it all, no matter what. He has evened out the odds. The question is, "Have we?" Adidas OddsAn even pair of two lefts or two rights for those who run against the odds.
Synopsis:
This film portrays the fight of Major D.P Singh, against his own body, against his will, against the world and against everything that’s considered odd for a paraplegic person to do. It showcases his journey from losing a leg in war to becoming India’s first blade runner. And while he has been running against the odds all his life, Adidas Odds, which is a pair of the same shoe, is an attempt to even out the odds for him. It leaves the viewers with just one question, “He has evened out the odds. Have you?”
Entry Summary:
The film was launched during the Paralympics with Major D.P Singh, who is India’s first blade runner and a war veteran. He has devoted his life to making a running academy for the paraplegics. It was an attempt to inspire more people to overcome the odds and to honour the parathletes competing in the Paralympics.
