Brief Explanation
With its clean, scrolling navigation, the ParaNorman website was designed to carry visitors through a parallaxing storybook experience rich in audio and visual detail. Exploring the site’s trove of ghoulish content took advantage of everything mobile browsers can do, employing a slew of accelerometer and swipe, pinch, drag and flick controls. It also featured a Stop-Motion Zombie Lab, which allowed users to create their own zombie movies while learning about the mind-blowing craft behind ParaNorman. Of the nearly two million visitors to the site, 35,000 spent an average of 6:30 in the Lab (including stop-motion pros like Seth Green).
