Synopsis:
While the Danish politicians spend summer vacation, human rights are suffering around the world. Therefore, Amnesty International has chosen to use the summer to increase Danes awareness on refugees’ right to security from war and persecution by inserting a bus, which sets Copenhagen’s cityscape in contrast to the reality of Aleppo.
Even though Islamic State has left Aleppo, the conflict in Syria continues. Therefore, Amnesty International has inserted a tank today and the next 30 days, which corresponds with the many tanks that daily, fill the streets of Aleppo. The idea is to remind Danes that the summer idyll, taking place in Denmark, is far from reality in the rest of the world. The tank will be in full size view and cover a bus, driving route 26, which drives in Copenhagen’s city centre.
