Appenzeller Cheese – The longest bench in the world.For over 700 years one of the best cheeses in Switzerland has been produced in the idyllic Appenzellerland. And for quite as long, three herdsmen have been advertising their cheese from their bench in the Appenzellerland.The idea: As a mark of gratitude Appenzeller cheese wanted its many loyal consumers to enjoy the same wonderful views as the three herdsmen on their bench.The realisation: Appenzeller cheese starts a campaign on Facebook. For each "Like" a seat was added to a real wooden bench in the Appenzellerland – and provided with a personal nameplate for each fan.The result: Official world record in the Guinness Book of Records, thousands of visitors, numerous media reports and over a million Facebook contacts.
