This exhibition was organized to focus on the issue of city block signboards, which provide guidance to pedestrians. These plates function not only to display addresses, but they are like interfaces that also have an impact on the townscape. Realizing their importance in the planning of cities, we took the initiative to come up with an original proposal. The poster advertising the exhibition shows a traditional plate (navy blue plate) in its actual size, indicating the location of the gallery. The wall behind the plate is the exterior wall of ginza graphic gallery, the exhibition venue, simulating what it would look like if a plate were to be installed on the gallery wall. The poster that visitors will come across for the first time at the gallery, showing the plate of a proposed design (gray plate), functions to advertise the exhibition to people who walk past the gallery.
