90% of Americans support becoming an organ donor. But despite the fact that one organ donor can save many lives, the majority have never taken the time to register. Donate Life needed a way to make it more meaningful to them individually. But with a budget of virtually nothing, the challenge was to find a simple message that could inspire the masses to care enough to register. One organ donor saves eight lives. So, we decided to show that you, and your name, can literally save eight people—by showing eight first names within common full names of people.The campaign has already reached more than 11 million people in print and outdoor. It was recognized by the Obama administration for its ability to creatively and effectively help shorten the organ recipient waiting list. The campaign has so far saved and healed over 19,000 people.
