Mr. Richards isn't only known for his guitar licks. He also made a name for himself hurling televisions over hotel balconies. The guitarist was said to have dropped the one display from the 10th floor of the Hyatt West Hollywood. Fortunately, the only casualty was the TV set. One wonders what could've caused Keith's bout of insanity. Boredom might've been to blame. This wouldn't have been the case at the Hard Rock Hotel Penang. If guests ever get tired of channel-surfing, they just have to drop in at the Hard Rock cafe there. The resident band plays a few mean sets daily. There's also great food and service that's typical of any Hard Rock Cafe. If you're interested in a stay, ask our friendly servers here about the opening special.
With its steady stream of loyal customers, the Hard Rock Cafe was the perfect place to advertise the launch of the Hard Rock Hotel Penang on a small budget. To capture the attention of diners, we replaced Hard Rock Cafe's memorabilia with three authentic-looking pieces of our own. Rather than the usual autographed guitar, we featured never-before-seen 'artefacts' from the infamous hotel stays of rockers. Every piece was faithfully produced to look like an original. This is one of three that were on display.
