Synopsis:
In recent years, the suicide rate of Hong Kong students has shown an alarming upward trend. 55 students ended their own lives in the past 19 months. In February 2017 alone saw 7 suicide attempts, of which 5 resulted in tragic loss of young lives. As parents, as citizens of Hong Kong, we cannot in good conscience stand by and do nothing while this heartbreaking trend escalates.
We have put together what little power we have, hoping to drive the message home that enough is enough. Through a series of posters & Video we developed, we hope to urge parents, teachers, schools and society at large to confront the fact that children’s lives are being needlessly thrown away, and that we must work together to alleviate their academic pressure.
1 out of 3 HK primary school children suffers from anxiety due to heavy workload and exam stress. Can you bear to keep on pressuring them? Time to ease their pressure!
