Creative idea explanation: In 2015, the migration crisis set off a wave of xenophobia in the Czech Republic, fueled even by the state leaders. To help Czech people empathize with today’s refugees, UNHCR decided to remind them of their own past. By re-telling the authentic stories of Czechs who escaped communism between 1948 – 1989.
