Relevancy
The idea is relevant to the brand because it helps and gives hope to disabled children and adults and helps them suffer less from prejudice in the future. And it also offers a financial alternative so that the institute won’t have to depend solely on donations.
Outcome
We were able to bring together great partners to make the idea come true. 6B Studio made the drawings of the characters; Estrela, the biggest toy manufacturer in the country, included the characters in their production line, and produced 6 stuffed toys; several toy stores have agreed to put the products on their shelves.
Implementation
We formed two great partnerships: with a large illustration studio and the largest toy manufacturer in Brazil, to create 6 stuffed toys with some sort of physical deficiency. The idea was, we stimulate children to play with these ‘disabled’ toys and they realize that even though they’re different, they are a lot of fun. Now, instead of depending solely on donations, they have a new way of getting investment and continue making this beautiful work which is caring for disabled children.
Client Brief Or Objective
A child isn’t born with prejudice. They learn that from their parents, relatives, friends at school, teachers. One of the goals of the AACD campaign is to teach them not be prejudiced against physically challenged people. The other goal is to find a new way to attract revenue to AACD since the institution depends on donations to carry on.
