But when you start, you’re already narrowing it down: only 240 fit your profile.
Then it gets even narrower: 200 are not in the city you live in.
You’re left with 40.
And it keeps getting narrower.
Only half of the 40 are hiring.
Of those 20, 5 start at 6 in the morning.
10 are now left.
Half ask for a 3-month minimum of experience.
You’re down to 5.
3 don’t give their employees any days off.
You’re left with 2, 1 of which only pays half what you’re asking for.
So you started out with 3,600 jobs and now you’re only left with one.
And you realise: the road to your career got really, really... narrow.
