The camera remains in faithful orbit around the Audi R8 as it executes a textbook doughnut on a warehouse floor. Essentially a 360-degree tour of the new model's bodywork, the stunt also shows time is very much on Audi's side. Dusty Springfield's leisurely rendition of 'The Windmills of My Mind' heightens the time bubble vibe with the car enjoying life in slow-motion.We're soon up in the rafters as the car produces the first of the manufacturer's famous four rings, neatly communicating how the slow, considered approach is an integral part of the Audi identity.
The idea: ‘Speed isn’t everything’. The creative: a perfectly controlled turn of the R8 in slow motion. We mounted a Russian Arm camera on the R8’s roof and slowly panned around the car, giving viewers a close-up look of the flagship performance car. The camera then switched to an aerial viewpoint, where we could see the supercar precisely creating the Audi logo’s first ring. The R8’s elegance was highlighted by Dusty Springfield's ‘Windmills of Your Mind’ track taken from her album ‘Dusty In Memphis.’
