English Description

The film opens with two kids running in a field of wheat. They’re searching for their radio-controlled aeroplane. When they look up, they gaze in astonishment: in front of them there’s an enormous White building… a Mill, whose gigantic sails turn with magical regularity.

There’s also an open door. Someone’s coming out and the two kids hide behind the sails, shoving one another to see better. The two kids cross the threshold of the Mill. The inside of the Mill surprises them even more. It’s like being in the heart of an enormous clock, in which wooden wheels work in perfect harmony.

Suddenly they are caught by a man with a frank expression and a contagiously friendly manner: the Man of the Mill. He invites them to follow him at the head of a long wooden table, where "creative" confusion reigns. The Man of the Mill offers them his Tarallucci biscuits and the kids taste and love them. In the end they meet the inseparable companion of the Miller: Rosita, his smart hen.

The two boys leave the Mill and start up their aeroplane again. The final shot is an aerial view of the Mill immersed in fields of wheat.
