Synopsis:
How do you persuade youngsters to watch a nature programme fronted by a 90 year old? By going old-skool. We built excitement with a series of playful films setting programme content to classic tunes – from poledancing bears to gangsta penguins and monkey parkour. Harnessing the power of natural selection, we released our shareables one-by-one into the wild. And watched them go from strength-to-strength: With nearly 30.5 million impressions, (nearly 8 million views/over 1/2 million engagements), they helped make Planet Earth II the most watched nature programme in 15 years. And more popular than X Factor amongst 16-24 year olds.
