The Mindful Ocean, a Blackmores wellbeing check, uses wearable sensors to help people experience a moment of mindfulness and live a healthier life.
Working with Dr. Con Stough, Professor of Cognitive Neuroscience and Psychology at the Swinburne University of Technology, Holler designed a system that uses an array of wearable sensors to measure the brain waves of the wearer.
By translating these brainwaves into a webGL ocean visualisation, The Mindful Ocean allows the wearer to see inside their own mind, with a real-time display of their cognitive wellbeing.The wearer plays a short meditation game, trying to calm an ocean storm using only their mind and learns how the mind and body are intrinsically linked, discovering that a healthy body starts with a healthy mind.
