Description of the Project:
The request was to create an animated policy trailer for theaters associated with Caixa Cultural, a nationwide cultural initiative launched by Caixa Econômica, Brazil’s largest government-owned bank. The piece should take place in a fantastic, Willy Wonka-like factory, presenting a whimsical version of the theater’s backstage and all the pre-show preparations. The scrip was then adapted for an institutional ad, aired on TV and online.
The film includes several visual references to folk arts and cultural traditions from Brazil’s different regions. The soundtrack also mixes classical orchestration with Brazilian folk instruments like the zabumba drum, fifes and the triangle.
