Doctors have been telling Americans to go for annual check-ups for years, but only half of the population seeks preventive care services at the recommended rate. What’s more, the CDC estimates that if everyone went as recommended, up to 100,000 lives could be saved. This constitutes nothing short of a public health crisis. Since people weren’t listening to the advice of real doctors, we enlisted a team that had the reach and appeal to get people listening and sharing: The TV Doctors of America—four decades of fake M.D.s brought together to get Americans to a real doctor.
