Brief Explanation
Every day millions of people travel with Deutsche Bahn trains. Every day millions of travelers look out of the train window. We think that’s great! Because, with Deutsche Bahn, watching the countryside go past has now become an interactive experience! DB Jompp is the mobile game for rail travelers, available for iPhone and Android smartphones. Its unique augmented reality function turns every journey into an adventure playground, because it enables the direction and speed of travel to influence the gaming experience. If the train accelerates, the level also moves more quickly, and the next checkpoint moves into reaching distance! However, this doesn't mean that it’s a walk-over. The goal of the player is to cover the greatest distance possible before running out of energy. To reach a high score, he has to overcome numerous obstacles – aggressive birds, storms, lightening and much more. Luckily he is helped by various power-ups, providing he uses them tactically and smartly. After all, the same motto applies to journeys and games – “the path is the true destination”. And what is the benefit for Deutsche Bahn? Happy travelers who arrive at their destinations feeling relaxed. Travelers who might also show DB Jompp to their friends, as once it has been downloaded it also works outside of trains. The camera image is then replaced with a default background. Jompp can therefore even reach people, who haven’t even traveled by train. All it takes is a brief glance out of the window.
