Synopsis:
For “Adopt a Cat Month” in June, Seattle Goodwill and Seattle Humane have partnered for the first time to produce Purrfect Pairs, a Facebook Live event (a-la QVC), during which adoptable cats will “model” pieces from Seattle Goodwill’s online jewelry collection available for auction via eBay. The campaign will aim to increase awareness of Seattle Goodwill’s online sales, particularly jewelry, and help adoptable cats find forever homes.
Seattle Goodwill reported that, of the 25 jewelry items featured, all of them sold. Collectively, the items received a total of 375 bids and sold for a total of $1,796, with an average bid of $71.87. The highest selling item was a bracelet that sold for $650. And best of all, the proceeds will go to help create job opportunities and training for people in the Seattle community. Plus, half of the cats featured during the event – Wolverine, Chloe-Kay, Goliath, and Joseph – were adopted within a week of the broadcast and found forever homes.
