Amstelveen, 7 April 2016 – How many nights do I still have to wait? When mommy and daddy are away for a couple of days to travel or for business, chances are that the ones that are left at home ask themselves that question as long as they will have to miss their beloved ones or parents. That is why KLM has introduced the ‘how many nights do I still have to wait’ KLM Nightslight for those at home. The light shows exactly how many nights you’ll have to wait until your loved one or - mommy or daddy – comes home.
DDB & Tribal Worldwide, Amsterdam invented the Nightslight and the overarching campaign. Frolic Studio developed the Nightslight. The light has the shape of an airplane and for every night that a family member or loved one is away, a light will brighten up behind the windows of the plane. The lights, which represent the days, will go out one by one and will all be turned off on the day of arrival.
Now, the advantages of travelling with KLM are not only convenient for the business traveller, but also for the person that is staying home. This thought lies at the heart of the development of the KLM Nightslight. Due to the convenient departure times and high number of flights, travelling parents are able to make it to their child’s sports games on Saturday mornings.
