BRIEF
Inspired by Loewe's latest capsule collection, an homage to the work of legendary British textile designer, artist, and writer William Morris, the iconic fashion brand wanted a film that would echo the spirit of this collection, ‘Morris Meets Punk’.
IDEA
Tasked with bringing Loewe's new collection to life, the director crafted a film paying tribute to the inspiration for the collection, William Morris. Contemporary London poet, spoken word artist and DJ James Massiah was brought on-board to voice one of Morris' poems. The poem is the foundational narrative carrying the storyline, and is brought to life in a whimsical aesthetic setting.
To add an extra poetic layer, the director used a combination of visuals highlighting the collection and its inspirations. To underly the various themes from the poem and the poet who form the backbone of this collection, this film gives an atmospheric introduction to 'Morris Meets Punk'
