Maxis, the leading telecommunications company in Malaysia, had a deceptively simple brief. Using mother’s day as a catalyst, drive new MyMaxis app (Maxis’ proprietary account management app) installs through the promotion of mother’s day specific reward deals. It was a tactical, promotional brief. But after some consideration, we knew that merely shouting on the deals would not work, as the deals were not amazing, and competitors would have (we assume) better deals in the market. So we took a different approach.
