Instead of advertising coupons, some of McDonald's advertisements were turned into coupons. Since the Isobar Poland campaign was targeted largely to a younger mobile-savvy audience, a series of animated banners were created. These banners acted as coupons. All you needed to do was to make a screenshot and show it at a McDonald's restaurant. You could either simply show it at the till or use it at self-service kiosks as the coupons included a barcode which was large enough to scan them. Through this small and clever idea, McDonald's shortened the route between communication and obtaining the coupon (and using it at a restaurant).
