Remumber. The app that teaches your kid to remember your phone number.
Here’s something Missing Children Europe in collaboration with MediaMonks and FAMOUS made: ‘Remumber’. More and more children have smartphones. So this generation doesn’t remember phone numbers by heart anymore. But what if they lose their phone, or their battery dies? What if there’s a situation where a child needs to contact its parents but doesn’t know their phone number by heart? That’s why Missing Children Europe made a new app, ‘Remumber’. It changes the random passcode of your kids’ smartphone into your phone number. So each time they unlock their phone, they’re practicing your phone number again and again.
The idea is simple: the app plays the role of the smartphone or tablet’s lock code. Once the app is installed, you just enter the phone number to memorise and the device will then be locked through Remumber. Children memorise the number gradually: the first four digits have to be learned by heart and then the next numbers to enter are illuminated if the child is stuck and needs a clue. Once the child has successfully memorising the whole code, parents are informed by email and they can then enter a new number to memorise, leave the original number or uninstall the app.
