Synopsis:
Netflix recently tapped Hollywood ad agency Battery to concept their latest campaign, “Netflix is a Joke,” starring Comedy greats Jerry Seinfeld, Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock, and Ellen DeGeneres. While you may have noticed the OOH ads in LA or NY (pics attached), the broadcast initiative launched last Sunday during the Emmys. The campaign celebrates Netflix Original Programming, while simultaneously putting a spotlight on the entertainment company’s stand up comedy specials.
The “Netflix is a Joke” campaign, conceived by Battery, places the comics into highly dramatic moments within well-known Netflix series. Seinfeld muses with Frank Underwood, while Chappelle jokes with the kids from Stranger Things. Ellen spars with The Queen and Chris Rock takes on the cast of Orange is the New Black.
