Brief Explanation
Launching an airborne peacekeeping mission relies on more than a rock star pilot. 30-odd specialists (intelligence officers, systems engineers etc) are part of the effort. But a typical flight simulator only recruits pilots. NZ Air Force Challenge is designed to demonstrate the variety of roles available. Players test their skills (hand/eye co-ordination, problem solving etc) in missions based on the true daily activities of our Air Force. Example: a medic on a rescue crew has to take the pulse of an injured hiker in a dark, noisy, swaying helicopter. Harder than it sounds. Give it a try.
