Well we really don't how it goes in the rest of the world, but in our country? The position of the toilet seat is a real issue, for a matter of a fact, it's a common fire starter between men and women, an unsolved problem: after paying a visit to the toilet, should men put the toilet seat down, or should they leave it up?
We in Nikol, Israel's leading and most innovative household brand, founded by Kimberly Clark, decided to solve this issue once and for all, by inventing the world's first toilet seat sensor, BEEPee: has your man "forgotten" to put down the toilet seat? After 45 second of innocent amnesia, BEEPee will beep and remind him.
But… what if he ignored the beeps? Don't worry, BEEPee will send him a text message, reminding him once again!
The product was launched through Facebook with a short movie dealing with the phenomena of men leaving the toilet seat up. We encouraged women to share the movie and tell us why they really really need one in their house, in hope of receiving their very own BEEPee, within just a few days we reached over 2,000 shares and over 1.5M (and still counting, Israel's population is about 8M) people have watched the movie.
BEEPee was covered through the different media channels: TV shows, radio, tech blogs and even Israel's leading newspaper.
