Novotel's New Ad Campaign Asks: What’s Your Story?
Novotel launches new integrated #1000stories ad campaign to celebrate the thousands of stories made every day within their network of mid-scale hotels
Set to air during Channel 4’s ‘Location, Location, Location’, the TV ad builds on Novotel’s philosophy that customer experience lies at the heart of the brand. In addition to Channel 4, it will also run across Channel 4 digital and Sky, as well as on Channel 4 and Sky video on demand.
To develop the campaign Novotel partnered with Genero, the online platform of film makers, and received an impressive number of responses. These plans were whittled down to seven and through two further rounds of selection, Novotel selected London and Tokyo based multi-media agency SOS IN Bel Air.
In parallel with the TV adverts, guests are invited to share their own stories on social platforms using the hashtag #1000stories. McCann Connected, an integrated digital agency, have been assigned to inspire stories and instigate storytelling of experiences created with Novotel. The campaign hashtag will be used to curate and create content via social media.

“We wanted to champion our amazing guests and showcase the many personal and memorable stories that are made in our hotels every day. This advert brings to life our outlook that customer experience is of upmost importance to us – and how guests of Novotel can be a part of the story.”
The TVC will air on television and VOD for two months, from Monday 3rd October to Sunday 20th November. The campaign launch will be a 30 second ad with an ongoing multi-channel approach across Channel 4, Channel 4 digital, Sky and Sky Media. The full agency team consists of Genero, McCann Connected, Havas Media and SOS IN Bel Air.
