The film explains the functioning of the immune system. It explains the process of inflammation. It also explains what goes wrong in the functioning of the body, when a person suffers from an auto-immune disease.
Cytokines, which are certain regulatory substances, play an important part in the functioning of the immune system.
A relatively new type of medication so-called biologicals, interact specifically with some of these cytokines and they, for example, are able to affect rheumatoid arthritis.
