Self-storage is a need-based, commoditized market with a particularly negative reputation among consumers. So, our challenge was to ensure that when consumers have a sudden storage need, they think of Public Storage as a safe, secure and convenient place to keep their stuff. Our strategy was to demonstrate that Public Storage understands that your things are important to you, even though they might be valueless in the real world. So when you need to store them, theyâll always be kept safe and secure in a Public Storage facility. The campaign consisted of three TV spots, each demonstrating a unique and very humorous storage use case.
