English Description

In the year of Nigeria's 50th Independence Anniversary, this commercial is a celebration of how entwined Star Lager brand and Nigeria have been for over 60 years. The commercial follows a truck and its payload of Star Lager on an epic journey that not only covers distance but time as well, giving us a glimpse of the diverse and changing landscape of Nigerian heritage.

The basic and practical act of delivering beer thus takes on an almost mythical significance – a wonderful sense of confidence, pride and rich history – as our time-traveler seems to deliver prosperity, a better life, freedom itself as well as timeless crates of Star, the nation’s number one beer.

While our journey tracks a single driver as he travels across Nigeria, the movie is essentially a human story that celebrates Star as a catalyst for bringing people together. The commercial thus takes the viewer on a wonderful expedition across the nation, showcasing the very best aspects of the beer and of the country and by doing so, we reflect on the beauty and richness of both in a way never before seen on TV.
