Synopsis:
Politicians talk a lot about keeping America safe, yet continue to do nothing about gun violence. Last year alone, more Americans were shot and killed by toddlers than terrorists. In fact, toddlers gun down Americans on a weekly basis. So to shine a spotlight on these highly ignored facts we created a satirical campaign proposing a solution to the gun problem: "Lock-up the toddlers. Keep America safe." In addition to the film and website we held the first ever Toddler Amnesty event. This live event was held in gun-loving Texas and was set up to feel like the usual gun amnesty – but instead of dropping off guns, we had agents asking passerby to drop off their toddlers “no questions asked” to keep them away from their guns. The campaign went viral with zero media dollars and even got Hillary Clinton talking about “Killer Toddlers” and gun control at the last presidential campaign with Donald Trump.
