English Description

This spot was made for the British Toy and Hobby Association to encourage active and imaginative play in children. They were aimed at mums, but crafted to appeal to kids.

We went back to the old cliche about kids preferring the cardboard box to the toy that came in it. From this premise we developed a cardboard box world, accessible to real life kids by jumping into a real life cardboard box. Once within the world they became cardboard box characters themselves. This beautiful cardboard world was entirely made in 3D animation but designed to look handmade. We wanted to create an environment and characters that looked as though they had been made by a kid and then brought to life.
