Brief Explanation
This ad showcases everything NZ has to offer from thermal waterfalls to Mountains, Fjords, and white sand beaches. And all manner of wonderful adventures: swimming with horses, watching seals come alive at dawn, sharing freshly caught crayfish with friends, etc. All narrated by English Actor, Sir Ian Holm, who played Bilbo in Lord of the Rings. Naturally the film climaxes with a helicopter shot towards Hobbiton as our travelers arrive at the actual ‘Bag End’ used in the movie The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. We took great care to shoot the commercial in the same 2.37 : 1 aspect ratio as The Hobbit, and to a 5k resolution which is also the same as the film.
