To promote the new line of United Colors of Benetton, which was inspired by the diversity of today’s modern cities, we set out to prove just how beautiful diversity is. Which is why the new faces for Benetton do not exist. They are statistically accurate data visualizations of every ethnicity living in some of today’s key cities. Using a custom algorithm, and a photo shoot spanning six cities, we turned the ethnic data of each city into a face that has never been seen before. The faces appeared as the face of each city, and as the face of Benetton in print, OOH, online and in store.
