Creative idea explanation:
‘Volhynia’ – a feature film about the Volhynia Massacre was to be released in theatres across Poland. Due to the nature of the subject the distributors were worried about the box office and that the film will spark hatred between Poles and Ukrainians.
To promote the film and to show that Poles and Ukrainians can build a better future together we’ve shown the film to Polish-Ukrainian couples and marriages and interviewed them. The interviews were made into a short documentary called ‘Volhynia: Reconciliation’.
