English Description

We were asked to conceptualize a campaign for Wimpy’s Champ Burger, the biggest, beefiest Wimpy burger on the menu. So, to advertise the Champ Burger, with the knowledge that the most watched TV content in South Africa is wrestling, we found South Africa’s version of the iconic Hulk Hogan. From here we spawned Mike Mitchell - father, husband and wrestling champ superstar. Through our use of TV, digital webisodes and other above-the-line media, we told the story of Mike Mitchell the champ, his family of champs and even his ‘Champanzee’. We provided good old fashioned South African entertainment for our audience and flexed our communication of value for money through Mike Mitchell and The Champ Burger “putting hunger in a headlock.”
